Swing Bed / Skilled Nursing Care Services

Swing bed and Skilled Nursing Care are terms used for a program that assists our patients in returning to their home environment. The program is designed to help patients regain their independence and bring them back to a level of health so they can return to home safely.

Examples of admission criteria for the Swing Bed program include:

• physical, occupational, and speech therapy
• parenteral nutrition therapy
• post operative care
• post heart attack care
• stroke aftercare
• wound care
• IV antibiotic therapy
• generalized weakness
